However, the sports and broadcast industries face a slower transition due to legacy infrastructure challenges. This was evident at a recent SVG event I attended in Mountain View, CA. Companies that are heavily IT based are embracing this new technology, while traditional AV companies often lack the IT expertise required for a smooth transition.

Panasonic’s Projectors with ST2110 Support
Panasonic showcased a wide variety of projectors featuring ST2110 compatibility for seamless IP-based media distribution. These projectors are ideal for large-scale events, stadiums, and corporate auditoriums, delivering exceptional brightness and image clarity. With the inclusion of SDM slots in most of their products, ST2110 integration is straightforward—users can even insert one of their media players into the SDM slot. Additionally, SDM slots are being added to their flat panels and LED offerings.

UNILUMIN: DCI-Compliant Flat Screen LED, Pre-Printed LED & Transparent LED
UNILUMIN is developing DCI-compliant flat screens with approvals from all major studios except Disney. These screens will be essential for DCI-required flat screen systems in the giant screen market. Their transparent, flexible LED panels are gaining attention due to their smaller pitch, lower power consumption, and extended panel availability. Additionally, pre-printed LED panels—designed to mimic marble, brick, or custom designs—offer creative solutions for various architectural aesthetics.
